Call of Duty League: Chicago Huntsmen's Gunless benched in favour of General

After OpTic Gaming Los Angeles confirmed a roster change, it appears that it isn't the only team looking to make a change. Find out all the information in this article.

Call of Duty League: Chicago Huntsmen's Gunless benched in favour of General

Since winning the London Home Series in February, the Chicago Huntsmen has been one of the most consistent teams in the league, securing three top-four finishes in the weeks after its London victory.

Despite the strong levels of consistency, it appears that a change to the roster is looking increasingly likely after popular Call of Duty League news account, CDL Intel, spotted substitute Jordon "General" General practicing with the team in place of flex player Pierce "Gunless" Hillman.

This is surprising information as some sources have reported that Gunless was not on the chopping block. 2017 world champion Matt "FormaL" Piper was reportedly being traded to the Florida Mutineers for Preston "Prestinni" Sanderson, brother of Alec "Arcitys" Sanderson.

With FormaL seemingly staying on the team, it will be interesting to see what General brings to the team after some time away from competition. The last tournament General competed in was the 2019 world championship, where he placed 4th under the Enigma6 banner.

Currently sat in 2nd place in the league table, Chicago undergoing change does seem very surprising but with the Huntsmen not competing until the Seattle Home Series, it gives the team a couple of weeks to practice with the new line-up.
