Modern Warfare has been available worldwide for almost a year. The game which is so loved by the community, is hated by some. But what are the reasons behind the hate?
In this article, we will look at various issues that have plagued both Modern Warfare and Warzone since their releases.
The cheaters
Despite Activision and Infinity Ward implementing several anti-cheat measures, cheaters are still present in Warzone, much to the annoyance of players that love dropping into Verdansk. These measures have also unintentionally banned thousands of players that have done nothing wrong.
The irony here is that the players - probably - innocent people find themselves banned, while some streamers and even CoD Partners allegedly use cheats. The best example is Symfuhny, a streamer who, according to reddit posts or clips, cheats with impunity by using an aimlock during his games.
It is probably not his first offence because a lot of clips are surfacing on different forums . These kinds of moves exist on CS: GO with professional players who also used aimlock during competitions.

The most impressive thing is to see that the terms associated with Warzone in Google searches often have a link with knowing how to cheat on the game.
Cheating is a well known practice on various FPS games. Players have indicated on Reddit, Twitter or on the game forums that cheaters come to ruin the games and taint the gaming experience of others. Some bitterness is really starting to be felt in the community and it appears that they are getting away with it.
State of servers and updates: a problem for players
The updates make many players shiver. Their titanic size frustrates many people who feel aggrieved that they cannot download content quickly in order to play their favorite game.
We have noticed several comments of dissatisfaction on the part of the community regarding the size of the patches, especially for players without a very efficient connection. Fiber gamers also have to wait hours to download and install a patch, as the Battle.net console and launcher on PC are slow, making it impossible to download content at full speed.
Many people are reluctant to buy or continue playing Modern Warfare or Warzone because the state of the servers - which sometimes leaves something to be desired - and the size of the patches are still annoying the community.
Some YouTubers and streamers have tried to help by providing advice on the fastest ways to download the updates. After a lot of internal work by the developers, the size of the patches is now smaller and the download time has been considerably reduced.
In-game content that is controversial
A few days ago, we may have heard of the deletion of the "OK" emote that the neo-Nazis and other white supremacists took as a sign of recognition. The day before yesterday, we had yet another controversy that caused a stir: The D-Day Operator.
A patch note appeared to change the name of this skin, because the description and design of the skin could be confusing. From its old name " Border War ", the description clearly said " Show them the error in their ways and make them pay with the skin of the D-Day Border War Operator "
This is a rather controversial subject in light of demonstrations which took place in the United States, within the framework of the BlackLivesMatter movement,a cause which Activision and Infinity Ward have shown support for.
Since the issue was raised, the skin has been renamed in order to rectify the problem.
To close, Modern Warfare and Warzone has a wealth of flaws that have yet to be addressed by the developers and with attention slowly turning to the release of the new game, there is little time for these issues to be fixed before players move on to the new game.
