The new home customization feature in Genshin Impact, the Serenitea Pot, allows players to create their own homes within Teyvat, and decorate them as they see fit. Think the housing system in FFXIV, but with a typical Genshin twist.
In a new Developers Discussion, miHoYo have revealed several changes coming to the feature, in order to optimize and improve it for all players. Here's a summary of what was mentioned.
- A higher load limit for the Serenitea Pot, depending on the device the you use;
- Reworked dialogue with the teapot spirit to reduce repetition and make accessing the features more streamlined;
- Paved roads are in progress, to be added in a future update;
- The room on the second floor will be open for decoration from Version 1.6 onwards;
- A Companion Move-In feature, allowing characters you own to move in, will be revealed later;
- Using the Crafting Bench in Co-Op will be possible in Version 1.6, the unlocking of recipes subject to the Traveler's progress. You'll also be able to keep items crafted while in a friend's world.
- A teammate marker will be applied to the edge of the currently displayed map in Version 1.6 if they are not within range, and clicking this will help you locate them quickly.
In other Genshin Impact news, players will now also be able to add Two-Factor Authentication to their accounts, securing them further against fraud and theft.
