New World is now just days away, and players are looking to preload the game in preparation for its full release.
Anyone who has pre-ordered the game will be able to download it at a specific time, revealed below.
When does the New World pre-download start?
Unlike the open beta, in which no prior communication regarding downloading the game was made, this time Amazon has informed us of preloading.
Like with the open beta, it will be possible to start the pre-download through Steam at 8am PT on September 27, the day before the official launch of the game.
How to start the pre-download for New World
On September 27, Amazon Games will send an email with a code to use within Steam .
You will need to follow this procedure to activate that code:
- On Steam, click on the "Games" tab at the top.
- Scroll down to "Activate Steam Product"
- A window will open for you to enter the code provided.
- Once you enter the code, you will see "New World" in your library
Note: Pre-download is only available to people who have pre-ordered the game, and the same is true for sending codes.
If you've ever received a code through a contest, try activating your product on Steam, but if the operation fails, repeat the same procedure starting at 8am PT on September 27.
