The next season of Apex Legends is expected to land in early November. To give us a taste before its launch, Respawn has revealed that the nineteenth Legend to join the Apex Games is Ash, a pilot and a mercenary.
In "History of the Wild Lands - Ashes to Ash", we discover how the former Dr. Ashleigh Reid from Titanfall 2 became the robot we know today. After being seriously injured during an undercover mission, Ashleigh Reid's body couldn't be saved - but her spirit was transferred into a Simulacrum Pilot.
We quickly understand that a sort of duality has been set, and that this Simulacrum Pilot is constantly torn between Dr. Reid and Ash. We also learn that she's the one who betrayed her former partner, Horizon, and that the two Legends are linked.
The video also pays homage to one of Titanfall 2's most famous moments, with a bit of the cutscene played out after defeating Ash in that game.
No information was revealed about her skills at this time, but that should change in the coming weeks.
