Available since Genshin Impact update 2.5, Yae Miko was eagerly awaited by a large part of the players, but the latter underwent a correction in her elementary skill "Evocation of the yakan: Devastating Sakura" which did not necessarily please.
A game-changing fix
Let's go back to the correction first. Normally, when this happens, it's to allow a character to return to its original appearance. But sometimes the problem fixed actually happened to be a good thing, and that's the case for Yae Miko. Indeed, the pillar she leaves behind was supposed to hit the closest enemies but it was actually hitting random enemies.
Now let's see what miHoYo said about it. First of all, they should know that they have been attentive to the data and the feedback from the players for this concern related to the skill of Yae Miko. Because of this, they realized the inconvenience caused by the correction and they did not think that so many combat scenarios were impacted. Then, they decided that the change made would be removed to return to a Sakura Devastator which randomly hits all enemies in its area of action.
That's not all, they will also improve their testing and validation procedures so that this problem does not happen again. Going forward, fixes to various characters will only be there to optimize the gameplay experience without compromising it. We will have to wait until April 6 to see the dedicated patch be available and as for the rest of the corrections that have taken place, there will be no backpedaling.
One last thing that will please you if you like primo gems: there is a compensation up to 100 primo gems for adventurers of level 5 or more. Be careful, because if you don't log in before April 9 at 10 a.m., you won't be able to get them.
We hope you can enjoy version 2.6 and the Chasm with your dear priestess Yae Miko without any problems.
