Since its release in September 2020, Genshin Impact has been able to bring a breath of fresh air to the world of gachas by offering an open world in which you live an adventure as a traveler who is looking for his sister. The title of miHoYo thus pushed the tests carried out with Honkai Impact and its various game modes. The subject of the day is not the titles of the Chinese developer, but indeed a game which has been talking about since mid-March with its first trailer, and even before via social networks. This is Tower of Fantasy.
What is Tower of Fantasy?
Tower of Fantasy is a video game that will be released on PC and mobiles in 2022 and that immerses us in an adventure within the planet Aida which was devastated by the Omnium cataclysm. In order to recover the energy available on this planet, the famous Omnium, humans decided to create a Tower, but they paid a high price. You find yourself years later with factions that have sprung up. The first is Hykros who sees the future of humanity thanks to the Omnium, by accepting and mastering this resource. The second is that of the Heirs of Aïda who simply form the resistance. The latter simply want to restore their freedom to humans by destroying the Tower of Fantasies and freeing them from the influence of the Omnium.

Characters and customization
Tower of Fantasy is an Action-RPG , but this one also gives you character customization which we'll talk about a bit later. Let's first go back to some characters that we were introduced to and that you can play or maybe summon.
- Meryl is a girl who is indifferent about everything, but she excels in S-rank missions. There's a reason she's an enforcer. Her attribute is ice and she uses a sword.
- Huma is an introverted and rather silent girl, but the latter possesses superhuman strength which is due to a rare disease. Also, when she thinks about something, the aura she possesses becomes powerful. His attribute is fire and his weapon seems to be related to an axe.
- Samir is also an enforcer who can do exactly what she wants and has a knack for playing tricks on others. Her attribute is lightning and she will know how to use her guns wisely to defeat her enemies.
- Crow is a character who wants to amuse the gallery with his jokes and tricks. He has a particular fondness for daggers. His element is lightning and he will use the dual blades to fight.
- Hilda . This is a character wielding a huge cannon but despite her rather imposing weapon, she remains very friendly and will not hesitate to lend you a hand if necessary. Her attribute is ice.
- Shiro is passionate about the ocean and this passion has earned her the nickname "Ocean Maniac Lone Wolf". This nickname is also due to the fact that she travels alone. She uses Chakrams.
- Tsubasa is an archer who won't hesitate to be opportunistic when the moment is right. Other than that, he's a very talkative person. Her attribute is ice and she uses a bow.
- Zero is a computer genius who deleted all information about him. What we know about him is that he loves competition and is a proud and witty person. He ignores anything he considers insignificant to him. His element is fire and he uses elemental cubes to fight.
- King is a character with a strong personality who is driven by money and is often used to solve problems using violence. It is by this method that he gets what he wants most of the time. His element is fire and he uses a scythe.
- Cocoritter is a person who blindly trusts everyone. His role within your team will be to heal you. She wields a scepter and has an ice element.
The characters seen above will normally all be playable, but there are others who may not be, such as Zeke and Shirli. Now let's talk a bit about customization since this is a point that can be missing on Genshin Impact. Indeed, if you like to personalize your character by changing his clothes or adding accessories, it will indeed be on the side of Tower of Fantasy that you will have to turn since it offers a whole bunch of options, as you can find out in the video below.
A major competitor?
After presenting the game, we will come back to the notion of competition between the latter and Genshin Impact since they have similarities. First, both games will be available on PC and mobile. The second thing that we note is the character design which is reminiscent of that of Honkai or other games close to anime. The third similarity is simply the fact that both take place in an open world. Admittedly, these are different worlds and this is not necessarily a good point of comparison, but it is still important to notify it.
For the moment, we know what miHoYo and Genshin Impact are turning to, but Tower of Fantasy is still unclear at this level and that's quite normal since it is currently in the closed beta phase and we will have to wait before releasing it. actually see us land.
