Welcome to Paldea! This gigantic open world where pokémon, trainers, pixelated trees and other bugs live together.
Pokémon Scarlet/Violet is as good as it is frustrating. Clearly displaying great ambitions, the game has very good sides: good gameplay, an open world, a lot of content, a very quality soundtrack among others. But unfortunately, the reason it's most talked about right now is its sometimes hilarious technical issues. Game not optimized enough, textures from another century, we are soon arriving in 2023 and sometimes we wonder if GameFreak has not found the formula to go back in time...
An anthology of bugs
Numerous technical problems which are obviously a lot of talk on the networks, and the community hastened to share the multiple anomalies present in the game. Pokémon or Hogwarts Legacy? We sometimes wonder.
Here is a compilation of videos and reviews that sum up all the negative things you can find at Paldea:
And despite that, it's a good game!
The word to sum up this latest pokemon is "frustration". Because if we disregard the sometimes abominable graphics and the fact that we paid 60€ (!) for it, Scarlet/Violet is a very good game! We let you read our complete test of the game if you want to reassure yourself.
This bodes well for the future! In addition to these technical problems, the majority agrees that this last Pokémon is the best of the saga in terms of gameplay and content. If GameFreak is coming for next-gen in 3 years to keep all that great content, their ambitions and make the game just a little bit better, could next-gen be the pinnacle of the franchise? Hopefully, by then, catch 'em all! Finally, if they are not invisible...
