All Pokémon projects do not necessarily end up in the game and unfortunately, since some are still really nice. This is the case of one of the Pokémon originally planned for the first generation of Pokémon: Gorochu. Could it make an appearance in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple ?
Gorochu the Lost Evolution of Raichu
If you've never heard of it, Gorochu is the Pokemon created to be the final evolution of Pikachu. This much more menacing version of the small electric mouse was to be released in the G1 but had been abandoned for lack of space on the game cartridge .
Here's a speculative image of what Foxeaf-drawn Gorochu would have looked like based on information given in a 2018 Interview.
Gorochu had then been abandoned following the addition of Pichu, thus concluding the series of evolutions for these Pokémon. In another interview with Junichi Masuda this time, we learned that the chances of seeing this Pokémon in the future would be very low, but is this really the case due to new mechanics added in the game such as Paradox or Mega -forms? Evolution ?
Gorochu a Paradox form of Pokémon Scarlet and Purple?
With the arrival of the Paradox Pokémon in this new Pokémon opus, it is completely possible to see Gorochu make its grand entrance into the world of Paldea following a future update. Especially with a form from the past in Scarlet, the idea is far from crazy and some fans who had not forgotten it made it known on the networks after discovering the Paradoxes.
In the same way, the track of the Mega-Evolution is not to be ruled out either: one can quite imagine Gorochu being the Mega version of a Raichu .
We told you not long ago about the possibility of a DLC in the Kalos area, this area symbolizing France and therefore connected to Paldea is the area of origin of the Mega-Evolutions, the scenario therefore seems plausible.
