Apex Legends: Respawn goes back on the number of banned cheaters

If you are a regular player of Apex Legends, you will know that it is not uncommon to meet a cheater in game. Due to the fact that the Respawn BR is a free-to-play, malicious players do not hesitate to break the rules frequently. In a Reddit post, the studio goes back on the impressive number of banned players, particularly with the improvement of their EAC anti-cheat system:

  • 770,000 players have been banned since February.
  • 300,000 account creations were blocked.
  • More than 4,000 cheating seller accounts have been banned in the last 20 days.
  • The number of in-game cheaters has been reduced by half.

Respawn concludes by indicating that the war remains constant against the cheaters and that he would do everything to counter this scourge. He announced an update next week to address other issues mentioned above.
