Remember when it was hard to find HMs and it was stylish to own them all.... Since a few years, and the release of Sun and Moon on Nintendo DS, the Hidden Machines have been replaced. Many fans have criticized this choice but it must be said that Game Freak has been able to transform them into something very attractive: the Poké-Ride. Who had never dreamed of flying on the back of Charizard?
Game Informer was able to interview some team members on Pokémon Sword and Shield, and confirms that the HMs will not be present. As we have seen in the trailer, these will obviously be replaced by our superb Rotom Phone.
One of the main reasons: the developers found that HMs didn't fit well with the very concept of Open World in Galar (especially the Wild Area).
For the Exp Share, it is an object that allows you to spread the experience among all the Pokémon in your team when you fight, even if they have not participated. Again, many fans don't like this option, finding it makes the game much easier. But as in Let's GO, this sharing of experience will be automatic and no longer considered as an object in its own right. For the moment, we do not know if it will be possible to disable it or not.
