The Search and Destroy LTM comes in Fortnite's live servers. Relying on community-created maps — as was previously the case for Halloween — this new way of playing will require you to defend or attack bomb sites.
Here's a summary of the rules:
- Teams of 6.
- Up to 11 rounds. Achieve total victory by winning 6 round with your team.
- Destroy the bomb side (Attackers), Defend the bombsite (Defenders), OR eliminate the enemy team to claim victory.
- Earn gold by eliminating enemies, planting or defusing objectives and completing rounds. Gold is used to purchase weapons, shields, and additional building materials. Note: Your gold carries over from round to round but resets after switching sides!
This game mode is quite popular and widespread on FPS in general — on Call of Duty in particular. The most important thing will obviously to build a few walls, but much less than the standard part though!
Playing Search and Destroy will make it easy for you to unlock some cool cosmetic rewards before the start of Season 2!
