Housing is a key feature in New World, granting several benefits to your character. It also allows you to avoid battle zones in this highly PvP-oriented universe.

Buying a House

In order to buy a house, your character must have a standing of at least 10 in the Territory of choice, and have reached level 15. To raise standing players can take on various quests, activities and achievements.

Maintaining your house requires the payment of a property tax. You cannot be evicted for non-payment, but you won't be able to access the benefits that housing brings.

Why purchase a house in New World

Owning a house grants several benefits to the player.

Firstly, it will serve as a recall point, acting as an anchor for travel and avoiding dangerous areas. A house of a higher tier will reduce the cooldown of recalling, too.

It also grants storage, and players can display trophies that will grant buffs to the character, and will serve as a crafting station. You can even have more pets.

Other players will be able to see your home, should you decorate your house to a high enough level and increase your Territory Standing. This is through a behind-the-scenes competition that will reward the best houses.

Decorate your House

Depending on the Territory you are in, styles and prices may vary. The different Territories offer a wide range of locations and decoration styles, which affect gardens, front or back porches, and the interior of your home.

There is almost no limit to how you can decorate of your property.

You can find housing in the following settlements.

  • Cutlass Keys
  • Ebonscale Reach
