Called Bees in previous games, the wasp is only found in trees. If you are unlucky enough to shake a tree with a beehive, it will fall and you will be chased by a swarm of wasps seeking revenge.

How to catch wasps
There is a small trick to do to catch a wasp on the hive that has just fallen to the ground. Here is the step-by-step procedure:
- When the hive falls to the ground and the wasps start to rush towards you, quickly click on X to open your inventory. This will pause the game for a few moments to give you time to select your Net. Be careful, from the moment you click on "equip", the pause will be over.
- Once the net is equipped and the inventory is closed, run quickly in a straight line and turn around (half turn) then press A.
- With the right timing, you will have managed to capture the wasps very easily.
Be careful though, if you run too long, the wasps will manage to catch you. You must act quickly and turn back at the right moment.
How to avoid wasps
If you don't want to catch wasps, just run and take shelter in a house or shop. The wasps will be gone by the time you come out.

If the wasps manage to sting you, don't panic, there is a cure!
You can either make it with the help of a recipe or buy it directly from Timmy and Tommy.
You can unlock the DIY recipe of the cure by simply talking to one of the islanders. When he sees your face, he'll give you the recipe.
