World of Warcraft: Shadowlands brings four new areas into play that players can visit during the expansion. In this article, we invite you to discover Ardenweald, an area where the souls of Nature's allies go. It is governed by the Covenant of Night Fae, itself led by the Winter Queen.
Ardenweald is an enchanted and mysterious forest. Ruled by the Night Fae Covenant, Ardenweald has been compared to a dark mirror of Azeroth's Emerald Dream - As the Emerald Dream represents the cycle of life between spring and summer, Ardenweald reflects autumn and winter, and a cycle of rest and hibernation.
More than the other zones, Ardenweald has been negatively affected by the machine of death being broken. Without enough anima entering Ardenweald, the Winter Queen will need to decide where to focus her dwindling resources, and which souls will be allowed to fade away permanently. This is reflected in some damaged areas of the zone, where the influence of creatures such as the Drust have taken root, such as the area pictured below.
Among the iconic souls found at Sylvarden is notably the father of all Druids: Cenarius .
