The closed beta of Valorant — the new Riot Games' FPS — opens yesterday with a set of three maps available for the moment. The entire plan of these maps is gradually being revealed.
Concerning Bind, the positions seem perfectly understandable despite some originalities such as the portals. There are the classic spawn zones, the long "corridors" between each zone, the "doors" and especially points A (Cargo) and B (Tetris), where most of the actions of the game will take place.
Generally the B spot will be defended by two players with one player covering the long, and one player taking the window exit. In A, shower will be covered from a distance by Heaven, in hand-to-hand combat or on an aggressive stance in the shower. The mid will be pushed or held by the two remaining players, ready to rotate in the gate to assist B if the assault is launched.
This is a very interesting map where fixing a team can quickly put them out of position thanks to B Long's portal leading to the entrance of the shower on side A. Pushing on B can be very interesting on the defender side to support a Long position to the Marshal or Operator. On side A the possibilities will be more limited and especially more focused "close to close" with a T to take in the mid and L of the shower leading to a long line that can be disabling depending on your weapon.
The B will perhaps prove to be more closed and simpler to cover than the A, which is larger. Nevertheless, don't forget the use of the two gates near the sites to save your weapon in case of detonation of the spike.
