Minecraft Dungeons: how to add a friend and play with others

In Minecraft Dungeons, you can play with 3 other people either locally or online. Regarding online multiplayer, you can add friends directly in-game or via the xbox website.

How to add friends on Minecraft Dungeons

In-game

1. Start a game online
2. Once in the game, press F
3. You can then enter your friend's username and tag
4. Otherwise, you can directly join a friend's game (assuming you already have friends on microsoft store)

Via the xbox website

1. Open your internet browser
2. Go to your xbox live profile (this is your microsoft account)
3. Go to the Friends tab
4. Find the friend's nickname in the bar on the right and add it
5. Now your friend appears on the game and you can select them to start a game.
6. Do not forget to select "online game" in order to bring up the menu below

As a reminder, there is no matchmaking at the moment in the game. So you have to find people to play with on forums and other discords if you have no friends playing Minecraft Dungeons.
