Just like every year, the Harvest Festival has come to Azeroth and WoW Classic. These festivities, which commemorate the sacrifices made by heroes from the Horde and from the Alliance, is inspired by a Chinese mid-autumn celebrations and the Korean Chuseok festival.

From the 29th September to 6th October, players will be able to find overflowing banquet tables in front of Ironforge and Orgrimmar and will be offered a quest that pays homage to one of their faction's greatest heroes: Uther the Lightbringer or Grom Hellscream.

The Harvest Festival isn't a major celebration, but is rather a smaller event closer to Pirate's Day or Day of the Day, not just for its short duration (just one week), but also for the lack of rewards up for grabs.

However, these quests are worth your while, as they offer around 600 xp! They can only be accessed from Level 30 onwards and they are very risky for Alliance players below Level 50.

In addition, turning in a quest related to the Harvest Festival will give you 200 rep with all Capital Cities in your Faction, as well as a Bounty of the Havest and either the books For the Light! or The Horde's Hellscream, depending on your Faction.

Honoring a Hero (Alliance)

Important: This quest will take you into a undead stronghold full of Level 50+ mobs, so be careful, or your journey may prove fatal!

This quest begins with Wagner Hammerstrike in front of Ironforge.

Go to Uther's Tomb in the Western Plaguelands, then use Uther's Tribute on his statue before finally returning to Wagner Hammerstrike outside Ironforge before the conclusion of the Harvest festivities.

You will be rewarded with For the Light!, as well as 200 reputation with all Alliance Capital Cities, provided that you haven't already done this quest the year before.

After you turn in your Faction's quest, you will then receive a Bounty of the Harvest by mail, which lets you summon food: Harvest Bread, which heals you for 4% total HP every second for 25 seconds.

Honoring a Hero (Horde)

Important: This quest will take you to a zone brimming with Level 25-30 demons. Be careful, or your journey might end in tragedy!

The quest begins with Javnir Nashak in front of Orgrimmar .

Head to Grom's Monument in Demon Fall Canyon in Ashenvale, then use Grom's Tribute at the base of the monument. Return to Javnir Nashak outside Orgrimmar, before the conclusion of the Harvest festivities.

As a reward you will receive the book The Horde's Hellscream as well as 200 rep with all Horde Capital Cities, provided you have not already completed this quest the year before.

After completing your faction's quest, you will then receive a Gift of the Harvest by mail. This item allows you to summon food, Harvest Bread, you heals you for 2% of your total HP every second for 25 seconds.

The Feasts

In addition to these two quests, you can also find banquets covered in food outside of Ironforge and Orgrimmar respectively, accompanied by heroic spectral ancesters who have fallen in combat.

These magnificent spreads are not just for show either, as players can take food and drink off the table, including:

  • Harvest Nectar
  • Harvest Bread
  • Harvest Fish
  • Harvest Boar

Like the food summoned by the Gift of the Harvest, these meals will also restore 2% of your total HP for 25 seconds, yet only the Harvest Boar will restore the full 4%. It should also be noted that Harvest Nectar restores mana to players instead of HP!

  • Red Streaks Firework
  • Yellow Rose Firework
  • Red Firework
  • Green Firework
  • Blue Firework
