  • In the North America region, there are 16 players on both systems competing for a $100,000 prize pool. The winner nets $40,000.
  • In the region of South America, 32 players will compete for a $200,000 prize pool and a $75,000 first-place prize on PS4. Xbox One will have 16 players, a $100,000 pool, and a $40,000 grand prize.
  • West Asia and South Africa, exclusive to the PS4, will host 16 players vying for $100,000 in prizes and a $40,000 prize for the champion.
  • East Asia and Oceania, the second and third PlayStation exclusive regions, both feature 8 player brackets for a $20,000 slice of the $50,000 prize pool.

Verdict: With more money in South America and prizes for exclusive regions, PS4 comes out ahead in this round.

Online Qualifying Prize Pool for PlayStation 4 Vs. Xbox One

In the Europe region for the online qualifiers, PS4 has prizing per event set at $65,000 for a total prize pool of $325,000. The Xbox One event is lower, at $50,000 and $250,000, respectively.

In North America, the prizing per event is equal across both consoles at $15,000 with a total prize pool of $75,000.

South America has a larger disparity. The PS4 has a $35,000 prizing per event, and a $175,000 total prize pool. Meanwhile, the Xbox One has $15,000 prizing per event and a $75,000 prize pool. Here are the prizes for the PS4 exclusive regions:

  • West Asia: $20,000 prizing per event and $60,000 total prize pool.
