One of the most welcome surprises in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is the fact that all playable characters can use the familiar Sheikah Runes from Breath of the Wild during battle.
Also, each character has their own way of using them, which makes for a lot of fun variety in gameplay.
To access the rune menu, press the R button during battle. This will slow down the action and give you a chance to select a rune you'd like to use.
Press the left directional button to access the bombs and have at it.
Tips for using the Remote Bomb
While all characters can use the runes, Link is the only one that throws bombs. So when it's selected, make sure that you line him up with your target, otherwise, he'll just throw it where he's facing.
Bombs are good for a few things, including breaking the defense of shielded enemies, blowing up huge boulders, and dealing damage to a character's weak point gauge.
Keep pummeling an enemy with bombs and then use a weak-point attack to finish them off after depleting their gauge.
