You’ll need to collect five Mechanical Parts in this Fortnite quest. These parts can be found on cars, trailers, trucks, buses or tractors. This is a great opportunity to learn how to farm for Mechanical Parts, cause you’ll need plenty to craft and upgrade weapons.
You can use your pickax on any vehicle, but be careful – at some point it will start smoking and explode. You’ll end up taking a lot of damage for what may not be a huge reward. As the demolition progresses, Mechanical Parts will drop. Each vehicle drops up to five mechanical parts.
Vehicles can be found all over the island. Working order or not, they’ll provide the Mechanical Parts you need – these can be used to craft, alongside Meat and Bones.
To farm vehicles, your best bet is to land at a notable location, a little away from the hustle and bustle and highly contested spawns. This challenge also works in Rat Race mode – you’ll encounter fewer enemies, and you can even respawn if something goes wrong.
Mechanical Parts can also be found inside chests, and players will drop any they’ve collected when they’re eliminated.
