There’s a lot to do in Valheim – and one of the best things you can do is grow your own food so you’re never at a loss for health and stamina boosts. Read on to find out how to find and cultivate seeds.

How to Craft the Cultivator

The Cultivator becomes available once you’ve unlocked Bronze and Core Wood – you can get Core Wood from the Pine trees in the Black Forest.

You’ll need to craft the Cultivator in the Forge using the following:

  • 5 x Core Wood
  • 5 x Bronze

Once crafted, you’ll be able to cultivate soil and plant seeds to grow your own food.

What You Can Plant

You can currently plant carrots, turnips, beech trees, fir trees, and pine trees.

Carrot seeds can be found in white flowers in the Black Forest, turnip seeds can be found in yellow flowers in the Swamp.

When planting seeds you have to make sure that they’re well-spaced – keeping them away from each other as well as objects and obstacles. You’ll see “Healthy” or “Out of Room” pop up depending on their condition.

Recipes

Carrot soup for stamina:

  • 1 x mushroom
  • 3 x carrots

Turnip stew gives a large boost to health and stamina:
