The Devastator is a close-range class that is the quintessential tank class in Outriders.
Devastators are reliable assets in both solo and co-op modes, but which is the most powerful build for the class?
Our guide has you covered.
Devastator — Skill Trees
Seismic Shifter is much the more interesting class tree for the Devastator. This branch allows you to maximize skills such as Tremor, Impale and Earthquake.
The last node in this branch increases your seismic damage by 50%, which is perfect for these skills.
Moreover, this branch also allows you to improve two other skills: Golem and Reflect Bullets. These are slightly more defensive skills, and allows for a more balance build with a range of abilities to call upon.
Devastator — Skill Choices
With the Seinsmic Shifter skill tree you'll have a wide range of skills, both offensive and defensive.
Given the buffs provided by the Marshal armor set and by the skill tree, the following skill choices are most optimal for offensive gameplay, while providing a moment's respite should you need it.
Devastator — Legendary Armor
The Marshal set is one of the best armor choices for this build.
The set bonus, Endless Mass, pulls enemies close and causes up to four to share 10% anomaly damage and 30% weapon damage for five seconds.
Modding this armor will also bestow a nice improvement to your Earthquake skill.
Devastator — Weapons
The Devastator has a particular affinity to assault rifles and shotguns. Make sure to equip one of these suggestions in order to maximise its potential!
The Bulwark — Legendary Automatic Shotgun
- Ultimate Anomaly Surge – Critical shots spawn an Anomaly energy blast that deals damage in a certain radius.
- Clip of Amalthea – There is a percentage chance that critical shots do not consume ammo.
Roaring Umbra — Legendary Light Machinegun

- Bleeding Bullets – Shots inflict Bleed on enemies
Inferno Seed — Legendary Assault Rifle
- Wrath of Moloch – Critical hits cause an explosion, dealing damage and inflicting Burn on enemies within a radius
