In World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic, access to many instances are locked if you don't complete certain quests or increase your reputation with certain factions. Worse yet, these locked dungeons also lock out access to subsequent raids in the expansion.
In this guide, we take you through how to get to the Shattered Halls, one of the instances found in Hellfire Citadel, in Outland's Hellfire Peninsula.
Access to the Shattered Halls
Prerequisites:
Players only need to be Level 65 to enter the Shattered Halls on Normal Mode. However, a gate blocks the entrance, and to open it players must obtain the Shattered Halls Key. Two possibilities are then available:
- Obtain the Shattered Halls Key (logical)
- Have a Rogue with a Lockpicking skill of at least 350 unlock the door
The Shattered Halls Key can be obtained by completing a fairly straightforward quest line, that leads players to defeat one of the expansion's most iconic foes - the Fel Reaver.
Important: Only one key is required for the whole group to access this instance. Better yet, if a nearby player opens the door leading to The Arcatraz, then anyone can go there.
The key is only used to open the door leading there, and the entrance portal to the instance is accessible to all players of Level 65 or above -- with or without the key.
Here is the complete quest line and the objectives you must complete until you get the Shattered Halls Key:
When this quest line is complete, you will obtain the Shattered Halls Key. Congratulations!
