The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD has 24 Heart Pieces to be found in total. For every four you collect, you'll increase how much life you have by one Heart.
There are four Heart Pieces in Faron Woods. Here we'll show you where to find them.
First Heart Piece - Sealed Grounds
- Location: The Goddess Wall, near the entrance to the Sealed Temple
- Prerequisite: Defeat The Imprisoned for the first time.
After you've learned about Goddess Walls and defeated The Imprisoned for the first time, find Gorko the Goron next to the Goddess Wall in the Sealed Grounds, near the Temple entrance.
He will ask you to draw something - an Arrow, a Bomb, a Heart or a Fairy - after which you'll be rewarded with a Heart Piece.
Second Heart Piece - Faron Woods
- Location: In Faron Woods, where you encountered Machi the Kikwi
- Prerequisite: Obtain the Bomb Bag from the Earth Temple
Head back to where you first met Machi, after having got your hands on Bombs. You'll notice a wall that's just prime for a bit of destruction.
Once you've removed it, you'll see the Heart Piece waiting to be collected.
Third Heart Piece - Skyview Temple
- Location: Skyview Temple, where you fought Stalfos
- Prerequisite: Obtain the Beetle
With the Beetle in hand, walk around the chess pawn-shaped structure until you see bars blocking a Heart Piece, where you fought Stalfos.
Send the Beetle upwards to hit a switch at the top. This will release the bars, allowing you to claim the Heart Piece.
Fourth Heart Piece - Faron Woods
- Location: Near the giant tree in the north of the Woods
- Prerequisite: None
A simple one to claim, this Heart Piece can be found at the giant tree in the middle of the northern section of Faron Woods.
One of the roots on the southern side leads upwards to a rope, which you can shimmy across to reach the Heart Piece.
