This New World trade levelling guide focuses on Weaponsmithing, the profession that provides Aeternum with swords, axes, spears and other weapons.
While there are several ways to increase proficiency, it will help those who want to level up their Weaponsmithing skill without committing too many resources to unnecessary recipes.
NOTE: New World recipes such as those below simply ask for materials of a certain tier, e.g. "Tier 2 Metal, Leather" etc.
We've listed the more common material as it's usually cheaper/easier to obtain. However, prepare for a very, very significant grind.
For example, where we've put 'Coarse Leather', you could use Rugged Leather, Ragehide, or even epic materials such as Scarhide. The same goes for Refined Wood - you could use Timber, Petrified Wood, or even Ebonwood.
We have also included the base material costs of each ingredient below. For example, Starmetal Ingots require Starmetal Ore, which is mined -- but they also need Steel Ingots, which ultimately require Iron Ore, and reagents such as Charcoal and Flux.
The type you use will affect the gear score of the piece.
Weaponsmithing Tips
First of all, don't hesitate to recycle your creations in order to recover a good portion of the materials used. You'll need a lot when crafting gear, so this can save a lot of time or money.
Also, check the Trading Post for what is in demand. If you're crafting something that's proving to be a popular sale, use the opportunity to sell your creations and earn extra gold.
