A claymore wielder, he is aligned with the Cryo element. Thanks to his ability to apply Cryo easily, we think he's great as a support DPS alongside a Pyro main, such as Diluc.

The best weapons for Chongyun in Genshin Impact
Given we're using Chongyun as a support/Burst DPS instead of a main DPS, we've gone with the Skyward Pride claymore. As well as raising DMG, it has a nice little passive AoE proc that will remain after you've switched him out again.
For a more budget-friendly option, go with the Sacrificial Greatsword. Having a chance at resetting the cooldown of your Elemental Skill is always a bonus for sub-DPS characters.
The best Artifacts for Chongyun in Genshin Impact
We've gone for a classic 2/2 pairing of Noblesse Oblige and Blizzard Strayer for this build, as it increases both Elemental Burst DMG and Cryo DMG.
However, you could also just run the four-set Noblesse, as that will empower your main DPS once they are switched back in following Chongyun's Elemental Burst.
Talent and Constellation priority for Chongyun in Genshin Impact
As a sub-DPS, you'll want to focus on maxing Chongyun's Spirit Blade: Chonghua's Layered Frost Elemental Skill first, as it is a huge source of DMG.
Then focus on Spirit Blade - Cloud-Parting Star, Chongyun's Elemental Burst.
Constellation-wise, you'll want to try and unlock both Atmospheric Revolution (C2) and Rally of Four Blades (C6) to increase the effectiveness of both his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst.
The best stat priority and substat priority for Chongyun in Genshin Impact
ATK and Energy Recharge are good shouts for stat priority with Chongyun, as is Cryo DMG Bonus to amplify his skills. A little Elemental Mastery never went amiss, either.
