While Endwalker has been out for a few days now a lot of things are still left to be discovered and the side quest called "Secret in the box" is one of Final Fantasy XIV's new challenge. To get that quest you will need to teleport to Old Sharlayan and talk to the lady on the bench right next to a glowing box, close the the Aetheryte.
How to finish the Secret in the box quest
Once you get your letter you will need to solve three riddles and interact with specific NPCs, those aren't marked on the map so here's what you need to do:
- Go to X: 11.7 Y: 8.7 and talk to the NPC standing there
- Use the /doze emote while clicking on the NPC located in X: 7.9 Y: 13.8
- Head to X: 8.6 Y: 7.2 click on the little (and cute) animal before writting golden acorn in /say chat
With that the quest is finish you will then receive an accessory chest that contain a ring of ilvl 545 for the job you're playing when opening the chest. This can be very useful when gearing a new job for example.
