Just picked up Caitlyn in Wild Rift and need a few pointers? Don't worry, just read on for our guide and you'll be a master of the botlane in no time!
Runes
Caitlyn has the longest natural range in the game, something you should take advantage of in the laning phase to poke enemies. This range also shines in the siege phases, and her traps can shield the base of enemy turrets to prevent defences.
Fleet Footwork gives Caitlyn some extra mobility and good one-off damage on her auto-attacks.
In red, Gathering Storm is a staple on ADCs who want to stand out in the lategame.
In green, we went for Adaptive Carapace, which adds survivability to assassinations or burst.
In blue, opting for Mastermind will allow you to push and quickly take turrets, one of Caitlyn's specialties.

Main Items
The items you buy in game will vary heavily from match to match, depending on what composition the enemy team is running.
We've put together a list of the most important items for Caitlyn, ranked by their effectiveness. Items in bold are must-have items that you'll opt for in most, if not all, of your matches on this champion.
Tips & Tricks
- Taking advantage of Caitlyn's passive, Headshot, is very important if you're to win the lane. Try to auto-attack your opponent when you have a headshot prepared.
- Always keep a Yordle Snap Trap in reserve in the lategame, and quickly deploy it under an opponent who might use Zhonya's.
- Use Piltover Peacemaker to push minion waves in and corner the enemy under their tower, where you can hamper them with your Yordle Snap Traps.
