Runes

Sejuani Rune Choices

Core Items

Sunfire Aegis

3200 Gold

Thornmai

2700 Gold

Build

Sunfire Aegis is ideal for tanks who are in the thick of the action for extended peroids, as you'll expected to be on Sejuani.

Thornmail builds on this, offering excellent protection against physical damage, while helping deal damage passively.#

Other good items include Randuin's Omen, Warmog's Armor, and Winter's Approach.

Starting Item & Boots

Refillable Potion

150 Gold

Hailblade

350 Gold

Defensive Boots

1100 Gold

Skill Order

While your choices may differ according to how the game progresses, the typical Sejuani skill priority is:

R > W > Q > E

Summoner Spells

These are the summoner spells most typically taken by Sejuani in this role. Naturally, this may change depending on match-ups.

Flash
Smite

Gameplay

Sejuani is quite the passive jungler, so concentrate on farming up to level 6 rather than look for the early gank. After that it's about engaging whenever your ult is off cooldown, and trying to become as tanky as possible so you can assume the main engage tank role later.

  • Level 1 - Take E - Permafrost, for the jungle clear.
  • Level 2 - Take Q - Arctic Assault, for the knock-up dash.
  • First Back - Pick up your defensive boots for mobility and sustain.

Tips & Tricks

  • You can use Arctic Assault to dash through walls.
  • For extra distance, you can use Flash during Arctic Assault. This is great for surprising enemies.
  • Even if Glacial Prison doesn't stun your target, there's still the slow zone it creates. This can be used to block off opponents who don't want to be hit by crowd control.
  • You can use your allies to apply the Permafrost passive. This is useful, for example, when hiding in a bush in lane waiting to gank.
  • Follow up Permafrost with your ultimate for maximum crowd control mayhem.
