Build

Everfrost is a great item for Cassiopeia, thanks to its active slow, ability haste, and sizeable mana pool.

Archangel's Staff adds to that mana pool, especially when it becomes Seraph's Embrace and offers a useful heal.

Other good items include Rylai's Crystal ScepterZhonya's Hourglass, and Cosmic Drive.

Starting Item & Boots

Health Potion

50 Gold

Tear of the Goddess

Skill Order

While your choices may differ according to how the game progresses, the typical Cassiopeia skill priority is:

R > E > Q > W

Summoner Spells

These are the summoner spells most typically taken by Cassiopeia in this role. Naturally, this may change depending on match-ups.

Flash
Teleport

Gameplay

Play safe in lane early on, as Cassiopeia suffers from pretty severe mana drain. Focus on farming, and wait for an opportunity to use Noxious Blast to deal major damage and instigate a trade.

  • Level 1 - Take E - Twin Fang, as this is a good farming tool with a passive heal.
  • Level 2 - Take Q - Noxious Blast, so you can begin trading and looking to bully your opponent.
  • First Back - Work towards Everfrost, with a Lost Chapter complimenting your Tear for more mana sustain.

Tips & Tricks

  • Try to keep Twin Fang for targets that are already Poisoned, for maximum damage.
  • Miasma blocks dashes, in addition to slowing the enemy. Use it to prevent enemies from fleeing or closing you down.
  • Use the move speed bonus from Noxious Blast to close down your target, or escape if you're in a pinch.
  • A Flash + Petrifying Gaze combo is highly useful in surprising your opponent and locking them down.
