Gameplay

Aphelios is largely a classic ADC, but with a difference. He has five different weapons to call upon, and getting to know each of them and what they can do is key to mastering this champion. However, once learned, Aphelios turns into a lategame monster, shredding through enemies.

  • Level 1-3- Take Q - as this is your primary ability for each weapon, you'll want to strengthen it as much as you can before activating other abilities.
  • First Back - Start building towards your Galeforce, or pick up your boots for the attack speed and movement bonus.

Tips & Tricks

  • The cooldown of your Q is unique to each weapon, so you can use it twice in a row between different weapons for quicker burst damage.
  • Using Q consumes 10 ammo of the 50 you have, so don't waste it unnecessarily. If you want a particular weapon, firing into the void will get you there quicker.
  • In the laning phase it might be better to go with the Gravitum weapon as a secondary, so you can control the enemy if they try to go all-in, or to follow up on an ally attack.
  • Runaan's Hurricane is a key item, but don't be afraid to play safe while you build it.
  • Each weapon has its own gameplay style, so keep your preferred choice in secondary until a teamfight for best or most comfortable effect.
  • Regardless of the weapon equipped, when you use your ult an auto-attack is launched against your target.
  • The range of your R is huge, so use this to burst down the enemy without ever being seen.
