Talon Rune Choices

Core Items

Eclipse

3100 Gold

Youmoo's Ghostblade

3000 Gold

Build

The Eclipse / Youmoo's Ghostblade combo works well on Talon as a jungle assassin, helping burst down enemies while providing even more mobility.

Other good items include Serylda's GrudgeEdge of Night, and Axiom Arc

Starting Item & Boots

Refillable Potion

150 Gold

Emberknife

350 Gold

Ionian Boots of Lucidity

950 Gold

Skill Order

While your choices may differ according to how the game progresses, the typical Talon skill priority is:

R > W > Q > E

Summoner Spells

These are the summoner spells most typically taken by Talon in this role. Naturally, this may change depending on match-ups.

Flash
Smite

Gameplay

You'll want to focus on farming jungle until level 6 and your ult comes online. Then, look to help your lanes get ahead. You can also invade the enemy jungle if their jungler is on the squishy side, and look to deny opportunities there. In teamfights, look to isolate the enemy carries.

  • Level 1 - Take W - Rake, for the area damage and quicker farming.
  • Level 2 - Take Q - Noxian Diplomacy, for the gap closer and extra damage.
  • First Back - Work towards your Eclipse.

Tips & Tricks

  • Noxian Diplomacy crits automatically if you're in melee range of your target.
    It also resets your auto-attack.
  • Assassin's Path can be used to pass over terrain created by champions, such as Anivia's wall and Trundle's pillar.
  • You can use Flash during the animation of Rake to extend its range and surprise your opponent.
  • Use Noxian Diplomacy on an enemy minion so you can land Rake on a distant opponent. You can also use Noxian Diplomacy during the travel time of Rake to apply all three passive stacks.
