That said, this guide is a good starting point to helping you get to grips with the champion and making an impact in your games.

Build

Luden's Tempest is a given for Lux, thanks to its powerful Echo passive and burst damage capabilities.

Horizon Focus is also a regular pick, largely due to its excellent synergy with Lux's ultimate.

Other good choices include Zhonya's Hourglass and Morellonomicon.

Gameplay

In the support role, Lux is all about being hyper aggressive and zoning the enemy bot pair away from farm and control of the lane. You'll need to keep mobile, as she's easily locked down by supports that can stun or close gaps such as Leona.

  • Level 1 - Take E - Lucent Singularity, for the zoning potential.
  • Level 2 - Take Q - Light Binding, for the stun.
  • First Back - Start building your Luden's Tempest by picking up a Lost Chaper. It will restore mana on each level up, too.

Tips & Tricks

  • Playing around Lux's passive, Illumination, is key to dealing maximum damage.
  • Light Binding can stun two targets, so try to work your angles for best effect.
  • Use Lucent Singularity to slow a target, making it easier to land Light Binding.
  • Remember that Prismatic Barrier applies twice, once on the way out, and once on the way back. Use it to mitigate damage from an enemy.
  • Prismatic Barrier also tends to be a pretty good 'bait' move, for when enemy champions expect a Light Binding.
  • Use Final Spark in narrow channels to hit as many champions as possible.
  • Use Light Binding to freeze the first two minions in a wave, so they bunch up and can be cleared more easily with Lucent Singularity.
