Engravings are one of the systems available from level 50 in Lost Ark that allow you to further increase the customization of your character's playstyle. They function as additional bonuses available from Tier 1, the first high-level content once level 50 is reached.
Engravings: The Basics
Engravings are obtainable randomly on several types of pieces of equipment as follows:
- Ear rings
- Necklaces
- The Rings

Skill Stones
Each of the engravings has a maximum of 3 different levels, each granting ever more powerful bonuses and changing your style of play to a greater or lesser extent. To unlock each of these levels, you must improve a Skill Stone with the desired engraving, each improvement being called a "node":
- Level 1: 5 knots
- Level 2: 10 knots
- Level 3: 15 knots
Of course, these improvements can (and must) be reinforced by the nodes obtained randomly on the other parts raised. It is also crucial to understand that the engravings present on each Skill Stone but also on all the aforementioned accessories are obtained randomly. The idea is therefore to farm until you obtain the desired engravings at the highest possible level.
Each Skill Stone offers a different number of nodes depending on its rarity level for two engravings:
- Rare: 6 knots per engraving
- Epic: 8 nodes per engraving
- Legendary: 9 nodes per engraving
It is also crucial to mention that some engravings are only accessible to certain classes. To obtain them, you must perform, as always, certain specific actions in the world of Lost Ark.
