You have made good progress on LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga and now want to get down to business? How about commanding the Executor or exploring the gigantic Death Star from top to bottom?

How to unlock a flagship?

In order to hope to come across a flagship when you explore the open space world of the game, you must first have met a few prerequisites:

  • Complete Episodes in Story Mode where the ship you want to unlock is located. For example, if you hope to come across the Death Star I, it is better to have finished Episode IV - A New Hope.
  • Go to your Holoprojector then to the Ships tab. In the Flagships section, unlock the corresponding Rumors in order to locate the exact location of the one you are looking for.
  • Once the rumor has been unlocked, enter the Galactic Free Play mode and travel to the planet where the ship is supposed to appear.
  • Identify large red areas in space that simply symbolize space combat.
  • Once one of the fights is over, you will have a chance for the flagship to appear in space but sometimes it can appear without you having done any combat. Head towards him and destroy all the turrets so that you can then proceed with the boarding.
  • Important: Some ships like the Death Stars require you to complete side missions.
  • Be careful, even once the fight or the mission is over, you will have to buy the ship (very expensive) to unlock it permanently. Here are some tips for earning the most coins in the game:

Flagship: Death Star I

Here are the steps to unlock the Death Star:

  1. Complete Episode IV - A New Hope (Story Mode)
  2. Have been to Coruscant - Federal Quarter at least once to unlock this area
  3. Go to the Grand Temple of Yavin 4 and talk to the Rebel engineer who is on the first floor (he will have a bubble above his head with the Death Star)
  4. He will give you the "Stardust" mission, which you must then complete.

The mission is to travel to Coruscant Federal Headquarters to steal the Death Star plans from Grand Moff Tarkin's office. Of course, don't forget to activate the quest so that you can follow the markers on the ground. Locate the characters with a green exclamation point above their heads: they are the ones to talk to to advance the mission. The first, an officer, will tell you that someone has stolen the plans. The second, in the search area, is simply the thief. You will have to chase him down after talking to him. He will enter his TS-TT and it will be necessary to recover the grenades in the crates on the ground in order to stick them on the machine to make it explode. You can also use the turret on the ground to cause immense damage to him.

Deliver the blueprints to the Yavin Rebel 4 to unlock the Death Star purchase: 5 million coins. To use it, go into space and select it from the Holoprojector menu. You can then go inside to visit it. This is good because you can find 1 character and 7 Kyber Bricks within it.

Flagship: Death Star II

To unlock the second Death Star, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Complete Episode VI - Return of the Jedi
  2. Go to the Ewok Village and talk to the Ewok engineer (he is right in front of you when arriving on the tree via teleportation)
  3. Unlock the "Death Ball 3" mission from this NPC. Use a protocol droid like C-3PO so you can talk to him.

Now go to Space Endor and collect the 9 Death Star II rubble floating around. To collect them, simply run over them with your own ship and watch out for enemies.

Once the debris has been recovered, return to speak to the Ewok on Endor. Return to space again and then to your Ships menu of the Holoprojector to buy it for 2 million coins.

Flagship of the Trade Federation

You will have to go to Naboo Space, for example, to meet this flagship and have met the following requirements:

  1. Complete Episode I - The Phantom Menace (story mode),
  2. Travel in galactic free play in the Space of Naboo, Mustafar, Geonosis or Utapau

You will quickly find the Trade Federation ship in a large green circle. Go for it to start the attack and destroy all enemy turrets and ships. Once this phase is over, go inside to continue the hostilities.

Find Captain Nuno Tuuk: you will be imprisoned in a red cage. To get out of it, use the red buttons on the ground by regularly switching characters, then disconnect the electricity with the Force and feed the good sources as in the video below.

Trade Federation Ship Prison Puzzle

Then beat the captain by kicking him and chasing him through the whole ship. You can then buy the ship for 3 million coins.

Flagship: unlock the Executor

You can find this ship either in Tatooine or in Bespin, here are the requirements:

  1. Complete Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
  2. Go to Tatooine or Bespin space

Go to the green circle and destroy all the space defenses of the ship to be able to enter inside. In it, you will have to defeat the troops to unlock the purchase of the ship at 5 million coins.

Flagship: Unlock the Steadfast

Here are the prerequisites to unlock the Steadfast:

  • Complete Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker
  • It can spawn in Cantonica, Exegol, Jakku or Passaana spaces

As with most capital ships, you'll need to eliminate all space defenses around it in order to get inside. Once inside, you will have to fight the soldier troops again. While chasing the general, you will be blocked by a red veil: use the Force (Jedi Cunning) to control a Stormtrooper from a distance and disable the two blue electricity terminals. You will then have to fight Captain Swarton and then the REAL Captain Swarton before acquiring the ship for 3 million coins.

There you go, you now own all the flagships in the game!
