In Harry Potter Wizards Unite, you must cast Spells to free Foundables from their Confoundables or defeat enemies to progress in Fortresses.

The pattern in which you wave your wand — or trace on the screen — has a significant influence on the quality of your spell and its effectiveness.

Just like in Pokémon GO, where a skilled Trainer can enhance their throw to make it more effective, Wizards Unite contains hidden techniques to achieve the "perfect spell" — as quick as it is precise.

At the time of writing, this technique only works on Spells that solely incorporate straight lines. Finite and Arresto Momentum are the prime examples here.

To complete the perfect spell, simply...

  • Tap and hold the Glyph's starting point;
  • With another finger, tap and hold the first corner on the line;
  • Release your first finger;
  • Press the second corner on the line;
  • Release your finger from the first corner;
  • Repeat for as many corners as the Spell has.

This is actually an old technique used by players in Ingress, the debut game from developers Niantic. In short, it is a simple chain of finger pressure that will align the points and perfectly trace the lines.

This technique works on both iOS and Android versions of the game, but beware — failure consumes one point of energy!

For the other Spells, you can always improve your tracing skills thanks to this online tool.

Always remember that speed prevails over the accuracy of your trace!
