Opening vaults filled with quality weaponry is a feature that has been around since the previous chapter in Fortnite. But this new season 4 completes the feature with the use of keys! Indeed, this season, you will first need to find keys to be able to open the vaults of the island . It should also be noted that there are two types of strong rooms: those of "low security" and those of "high security". The former require only one key to open, while the latter require two.
Where to find keys?
There is no specific place to find keys in this season. They are looted exactly like standard loot:
- You will find keys on the floor
- You will find keys in chests of all types
- You will find keys on the corpse of defeated opposing players.
Where can I find vaults?
It's only when you have keys in your pocket that your search for safes will become easy. Indeed, as soon as you have a key, the vaults of the island appear explicitly on your map, with a padlock icon .
On your map, padlock icons with a single lock locate low-security vaults, while padlocks with two locks locate high-security vaults.
Opening vaults is very interesting if you want to make top 1, because it will give you access to high quality weaponry, without much effort. Be careful, however, to clear the area of any rival players, who are sure to steal the fruit of your labor, before opening your vaults.
