Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today, we are going to focus on cloud backup regardless of the platform: a very important feature that will allow you to keep your data but not only!
Cloud backup: what is it for?
It is very important to enable cloud backup on Disney Dreamlight Valley for two main reasons:
- Keep your game data in a safe place and be able to retrieve your Founder's Pack rewards safely (when you come to retrieve them in your mailbox, a tooltip will also ask you to connect to the cloud)
- Be able to use your save on any platform . If you own the game on both Nintendo Switch and PC, for example, by linking your Cloud account you can play the same game on two different consoles!
How to use Cloud backup?
Now that we've seen why Cloud Backup is so important to DLV, here's how to enable it and link your account across different platforms.
- Launch the Disney Dreamlight Valley game on your main platform (the one where you started your game and where the backup is installed),
- In the Main Menu, click on "Cloud Backup",
- Create an account by entering the email address of your choice and a secure password then click on "create an account"
- This will send you a confirmation email by email,
- On your game screen, you will now see your email displayed and an indication explaining to you that you can use this address and your password to link your game account to any other platform,
- Now go to your second platform (PC for example), launch the game and click again on "Cloud backup" then on "connect".
- Voila, you can now play the same game on multiple consoles!
