Once you have collected the 8 badges of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you will finally be able to beat the Pokémon League and its famous Elite Four.
Preparation for the Elite four: items and best Pokémon to take
Take good care of your Pokémon and buy enough items because you won't be able to get out of the League once inside. Use the Pokémon Center in front of the League to buy Hyper Potions, among other things. The objective will be to use them in combat if necessary but especially between each combat of elite 4 (you have time to do so).
When it comes to your Pokémon team, you should favor Ice -type pokémons at all costs and take a good look at your abilities in your Bag: you might be able to teach Ice-type moves to one of your strong Pokémon like your Starter.
- Recommended level to defeat the League: 60
Defeat Rika from Elite Four
Rika primarily uses Ground -type Pokemon at level 57. Watch out for his final Clodsire who is capable of poisoning your team.
- Ground type weaknesses: favor Water, Ice and Grass type attacks against them,
- Ground-type Strengths: Avoid sending Steel-, Electric-, Fire-, Rock-, and Poison-type Pokémon into battle.
-
Note that the Ground type is immune to the Electric type. On the other hand, it is ineffective on the Flying type.
Here, you can favor the use of a Flying type Pokémon (which will remain in the air and which cannot be hit by Earthquake for example) but this is risky if the opposing Pokémon use Rock techniques. The best is therefore to send an Ice-type Pokémon into battle or a Dragon knowing an Ice attack.
- Reward : 12,296 Pokédollars
Defeat Poppy of Elite Four
Poppy mainly uses Steel -type Pokémon at level 58. Watch out for his final Forgelina which is extremely strong and can possess a Rock-type attack.
- Steel type weaknesses: favor Fighting , Fire and Ground type attacks against them,
- Steel-type Forces: Avoid sending Fairy , Ice , and Rock -type Pokémon into battle.
- Note that the Steel type is immune to the Poison type.
- Reward : 25,016 Pokédollars
Defeat Larry from Elite Four
Larry primarily uses Flying -type Pokémon at level 59. Watch out for his final Flamewind which is extremely strong and has Fighting-type attacks.
- Flying type weaknesses: favor Electric , Ice and Rock type attacks against them,
- Flying-type Strengths: Avoid sending Fighting- , Bug- , and Grass -type Pokémon into battle.
-
Note that the Flying type is immune to the Ground type.
Here, you can favor the use of an Ice-type Pokémon (again) and another of the Rock type.
- Reward : 25,440 Pokédollars
Council 4 Hassel
Hassel mainly uses Dragon -type Pokémon at level 60. Watch out for his final Glaivodo which is extremely strong and has Ice-type attacks.
- Dragon-type Weaknesses: Favor Dragon- , Fairy- , and Ice -type attacks against them,
- Dragon-type strengths: Very effective against Dragon -type
- Note that the Dragon type is ineffective on the Fairy type.
- Reward : 29,760 Pokédollars
Defeat Geeta, the Top Champion
Please note, this is not over. You will heal your whole team but you will have to face Geeta as the Master of the Elite Four.
Geeta uses Pokémon of any type at level 61.
- Reward : 29,760 Pokédollars
