Like many other games, Borderlands 3 is no exception to cheating. If for any reason you want to use it, read on. Prerequisites to use this exploit
Bordelands 3 backups are stored locally, on your console or computer, not on online servers. It is therefore very easy to tinker with them. However, you will need a second account with the game, or to play cooperatively with an accomplice who will help you duplicate items.
Duplicate objects
To start, place the items you want to duplicate in your inventory. The following method works for absolutely all objects and weapons.
The crucial step is to make a copy of your backup file, in case of error, it will be expensive. The method to follow depends on the platform you are playing on.
- PS4: Simply go to Settings, Application Saved Data Management, Copy to USB or PS+ Cloud. Remember to disable automatic update if you use PS+ data storage to avoid having your backup overwritten automatically.
- Xbox One: The handling is more complicated and risky here, it's probably not a good idea to cheat on this platform because the data is saved on the Cloud, but if you want to try it anyway, it's possible. Make sure that your data is backed up properly once you leave the game.
- PC: The path of the backup files may vary, but normally they are located in \Documents\my games\Borderlands 3\Saved\SaveGames, you just have to copy the folder elsewhere.
Open the game, in the Pause menu, go to Social, then the 4th tab, 'Mail' then send a letter to your second account/friend with the item you want to duplicate. Be careful if you are on Xbox, consult the following section before doing so.
Exit the game, and restore the backup you had copied.
- PS4: Simply go to Settings, Application Saved Data Management, Saved Date on USB / PS+. Copy to System Storage.
- Xbox One: You must immediately disconnect from the Internet after sending the object, so that the game does not have time to make a backup on the cloud (by disconnecting the ethernet cable for example). Press the Home button, go to Borderlands 3, then press Options, Game Management, Backup Data, select your Gamertag, then Delete the data saved on the console. Restore the connection so that the backup on the cloud and then copy a new backup to your console.
- PC: Copy the old backup to its original folder, after deleting the new one
All you have to do is repeat these actions. You can send several times in a row on PC and PS4.
The player to whom you sent the items just has to accept them.
Infinite Money
- The principle is the same as for objects, use this manipulation by using several accounts or by playing cooperatively. As in the previous section, make a copy of your backup files.
- Open an exchange with the other player/account, and give them all your money and items.
- Restore your original backup, and repeat the operation as many times as you like.
