Gaining levels
It should be noted at the outset that the amount of money found increases with your level. You will of course find much more at level 50 than at level 10. So it will take you a long time to unlock everything even with the best farming methods in the world, so you will have to choose carefully or invest your money in the meantime.
Once the story is over, you can also activate Mayhem Mode, which will significantly increase the amount of money collected.
Killing things
Enemies often release money, but some of them are real chests on legs, a bit like the famous Diablo 3 Treasure Goblins. They have the affix 'loot', for example Tink loot, or Jacassos loot, they are resistant and purple (not to be confused with the chosen ones). And they don't fight. But if it takes you too long to kill them, they'll run away. When they die, there will be a shower of money and objects, as well as a bag to open in some cases.
Searching containers
Boxes, washing machines, toilet bowls, cupboards, chests of drawers, safes, all of which generally contain bundles of banknotes. If it's green, you can open it. You can quickly miss it and hammer your action button to open all this quickly and attract the precious tickets to it. Use the right grenades
There are many grenades that have the special power to make money appear when they hit an enemy. Legendary versions are sometimes incredibly generous. This can be a good way to kill two birds with one stone, remembering to regularly throw them at lots of enemies.
Do secondary quests
The many secondary quests and other crew challenges scattered throughout the areas, such as Typhoon Logs, are generally quite quick to complete and you will be rewarded with substantial sums of money. Don't expect millions, and it's probably better to try to finish the story and unlock first if optimization is what you're looking for. But in the short term it is a good solution.
Selling equipment
Collect objects that drag on the ground, even whites, especially those with massive weapons such as rocket launchers, because they are much more expensive than the rest. Ideally, you should reach each new distributor with your full inventory as you progress through the story. If you need more space to collect valuables, you can always throw them on the ground.
Once again, as you level up, the value of the items will increase to delirious levels ($30,000 - $100,000 in some cases at level 50).
Increasing the size of your backpack at Marcus will allow you to pick up more items and therefore sell more.
Glitch and loot fountains
It's not glorious, but in the end, if you're impatient or have lost your backup along the way, you may be tempted to use a Borderlands 3 Exploit (probably fixed at a next patch) that theoretically allows you to get an unlimited amount of money, even if it will take a certain level to make it profitable, unless it's one of your rich friends who helps you.
