A few weeks after the release of Borderlands 3, many of you are wondering what to do in the end game. So we come to you with one of the many elements of the answer: the Circles of Slaughter. Back in this opus, these bloody arenas will be the opportunity for you to prove your worth, while Torgue will go down in flames to praise your merits. More pragmatically, you can also find interesting loot such as the legendary weapons chosen, if you play in Mayhem mode. Anyway, we're telling you about the Circles of Slaughter.

The Circles of Slaughter

There are 3 Circles of Slaughter in Borderlands 3: Cistern of Slaughter, The Slaughter Shaft and Slaughterstar 3000. Names certainly found by this good old Torgo in view of their originality. They are arenas with waves of enemies that can be replayed over and over again. The longer you survive, the harder it is, but the better the loot found. Be good, be strong, it must bleed.

Each arena has its own quest, which can be restarted infinitely. In an arena, there are 5 rounds with waves of enemies. The first round has 3 waves. The second, third and fourth rounds have 4 waves, which you will have to survive. The last round is 5 waves, with some kind of boss in the last one.

To put it simply, each of the Circles of Slaughter has its own specificity, we will come back to it in a second step. These are places extremely rich in experience, especially with the Mayhem mode enabled. You can also farm legendary weapons, even if some farming techniques are more effective. Which is for sure what a good way to unwind and have fun alone or with friends.

If you ever die, you do not completely lose your progress. You can restart the quest from the beginning of the best round reached.

Cistern of Slaughter - Promethea, Meridian Metroplex

As indicated in the name, this arena is located in the basement of the Meridian Metroplex, on the planet Promethea. To reach it, simply go to the point indicated on our map below:

This is the first Circle of Slaughter you will meet. Inside, the enemies are the game's monsters, that is, all the fauna of the different planets gathered in a bloody orgy. And of course everyone wants to kill you.

This arena does not really have a boss as such and it is certainly the simplest of the three. However, beware of the Rakks, these unbearable flying creatures will give you trouble if you venture there without adapted weapons.

The Slaughter Shaft - Pandora, Konrad’s Hold

As indicated in the name, this arena is located on Pandora, in the Konrad's Hold area. It is the least well hidden of the three arenas. To reach it, simply go to the point indicated on our map below:

This is the second Circle of Slaughter you will meet. Inside, the enemies are descendants of the Ark, the DDAs of their little nickname. In other words, the most generic type of enemy in the game.

This arena has a boss named 'Titan', a rabid Goliath who fights with a ball-shaped weapon. It's certainly the hardest of the three. We meet elected enemies, as well as many brutal people armed with rocket launchers, who can't miss you or almost. So you'll have to be very good at dealing with it. We recommend to feel the ground before embarking on this circle of Slaughter in Mayhem 3 for example.

Slaughterstar 3000 - Nekrotafeyo, Side Mission

We did not make any mistakes in the title. This Circle of Slaughter is not in an area on a planet. It is a Maliwan ship that will have to be reached through a quest. To obtain the Slaughterstar 3000 quest, go to Nekrotafyeo at the place indicated on our screens. Then accept what Mr. Torgue proposes.

Get back aboard Sanctuary 3 and proceed to your navigation control to join the battleship Maliwan corresponding to this arena.

Sail there

Validate and complete the quest by talking to the relevant NPC. You have unlocked this place in your quick moves, don't forget to talk to the same NPC again to take the quest for the Circle of Slaughter.

So this is the third Circle of Slaughter you will meet. Inside, the enemies are Maliwan's men you have already met during your adventure.

This arena has two bosses called 'Red Rain' and 'Blue Light', they are gigantic mechas that hurt a lot. The difficulty of this arena is quite high but it is mainly in its last round, because of these two bosses. We meet enemies there with shields and armor so equip yourself accordingly. You will have to be good once again to overcome it.

We noticed many bugs in this arena, like: the fact that we could validate the quest when we had not yet cleaned all the enemies; the bosses that appear in the middle of the 3rd round?!
