Motostoke
Welcome to Motostoke, one of Galar's largest cities. As you move forward, Sonia will call you and take you to the Pokémon Center. She will explain to you what , the famous computer that allows you to sort your Pokémon Boxes, is for.
You can use it to personalize your Pokémon League Card. By meeting other Trainers from all over the world, you will get their League Card directly. Another something to collect!
The Rotomi also allows you to consult the missions of the Poké Jobs.
Take advantage of this visit to the Pokémon Center to:
- Take care of your Pokémon
- Buy some Poké Balls at the Boutique
- Talk to the blonde girl who wants to exchange her Skwovet for a Bunnelby
As you leave the Center, Sonia will remind you that the Opening Ceremony of the Gym Challenge is the next day. You will then have to go to Motostoke Stadium.
Items to find in Motostoke
- 1 Nugget (on the left as you enter the city, on the waterfront with the gears)
- 1 bunch of Revival Herb (on the other side of the shore)
- 1 Poké Ball (far right as you enter the city, in the garbage can next to the target)
- 1 Super Potion (on the left of the Onys, on the ground)
- 3 Great Balls (by the water, left under the station)
- Black Glasses (to the left of the Uniform Shop, at the very end of a narrow path)
The Stores
List of Stores in the main street of Motostoke, from the first when entering the city, to the last:
- The battle café
Once a day, you can win a gift if you win a fight against the bartender.
- A music shop: Right in front of this store, a man will give you the TR13 Focus Energy. TRs are Technical Records used to teach rare skills. However, unlike TMs, they can only be used once.
- A barber shop: to restore your beauty. Haircuts cost 3000 Pokedollars and Makeup 1000 Pokedollars.
- A clothing Store: you can buy different clothes and change in the cabin.
- The man in a pink vest in front of another record store will give you a pair of Hi-tech Earbuds
Head down the street to the end of the street to find a big gear. It is an elevator to discover the rest of the city.
Leon and his Charizard will join you. He will give you Mystical Water (if you have chosen Sobble because it increases the Water Type's capacities).
By taking the elevator, you will arrive directly in front of Motorstoke Stadium.
- The man with a Pokéball head will give you 1 PokéBall
- On the far left of the course, you will find 3 Burn Heals
- 1 Repel back in front of the Fountain on the far right of the stadium
Hop is waiting for you outside the Stadium. When you enter, you will give your letters of recommendation to access the Gym Challenge. You will be able to choose your competitor number.
On leaving, an employee of the stadium will show you the way to the Hotel. Go to the left to find a Budew.
Before entering the hotel, a few things to do:
- Talk to the blond child on the left, he has lost his Minccino and you can help him find it. It is very easy to find: go back in front of the Motorstoke stadium and go to the left, towards the fountain. Whistle a blow and the Minccino will return to his master. The child will give you a Throat Spray.
- Behind a container: a Silk Scarf
- In front of the Pokémon Center (the one on the left of the hotel): a Poké Doll
- X Accuracy (next to the container, after the tunnel)
- TM02 Pay Day (when lowering large scaffolding down to containers)
Now, go back to the hotel. Sonia will tell you about the Legend of the Hero who saved Galar a long time ago. The Statue of the Hero is depicted with a large sword set with a sapphire, and a shield set with a ruby. At that time, the sky turned black and many giant Pokémon appeared and devastated the region. It was the Hero who defeated them all.
You must now register at the Reception desk. But this one is stormed by Team Yell. To get them out, you're gonna have to beat them.
The next battle is a 2v2:
Marnie, Team Yell's idol, will then arrive and apologize to you. You can now check in at the counter.
The next morning, it is time for you to go to the Opening Ceremony at Motostoke Stadium.
Talk to the counter clerk at the stadium and have him give you your uniform.
The ceremony begins and the League President introduces 7 Galar Gym Champions.
