Celeste's magic wand is a great tool that will allow you to change your outfit without having to use your wardrobe in your home. You can make 8 outfits which can then be changed between them by simply using the magic wand. However, the way to having this magic wand is not an easy task. In this guide, we explain how to get this famous magic wand in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
Meet Celeste
Celeste is Blathers's sister, she will come to your island from time to time at sunset. Going to speak to her, she will explain to you that shooting stars are good luck and that this is the only way to get the star fragments. Celeste will give you the famous recipe for making this magic wand:
- 3 star fragments
- 1 large fragment of stars
How to obtain the star fragments?
To obtain star fragments, you will first have to observe shooting stars in the sky:
- Wait for the "tliing"
- Remove the tool you are holding in your hands (via the inventory or by pressing the arrow on the bottom of your left Joy-Con)
- Look up to the sky with the camera (left stick up)
- Wait until you see other shooting stars pass in the sky (there will inevitably be two or three more after the "tling")
- As soon as you see a shooting star in the sky, press A: your character will then make a wish and the star will sparkle more beautifully
- There is no limit of shooting stars per night. You can make as many wishes as you want.
Trick
Stroll on your island as usual and put the sound at the bottom of your game. Shooting stars are rather easy to spot because they produce a very special tinkling. Once the "tliiiing" heard, you will not have time to raise your eyes to the sky to observe the star. Don't panic, shooting stars always come in bursts of 3 to 5 stars.
The next day on the beach
The next morning, you can receive your star fragments on the edge of the beach. You just have to pick them up and make the famous magic wand!
The other magic wands
The magic wand therefore allows you to create outfits: you have to go to your wardrobe to make them.
Then, you just need to equip yourself with the wand, like a tool, and press A to display a Choice wheel.
Please note that you cannot change your Look via your wardrobe if you have used the magic wand. You will then have to choose "transform" to be able to do so.
It is possible to receive in a message bottle for example, the recipe for the bamboo magic wand which consists of 6 pieces of bamboo and 3 star fragments .
Other wands exist, like floral wands, but we haven't unlocked them yet.
Celeste's craft recipes
When you meet Celeste a second time (and then each time), she can provide you with unique craft recipes! They are not available elsewhere than with her. The objects that you can make are then either wands or furniture / clothing linked to the astrological signs.
Here is a small, non-exhaustive list of the items it can provide.
The list is ongoing. We have not yet had the chance to have all the recipes provided by Celeste.
