Format

In order to determine which of these teams are in the top eight in each region, this tournament awards MDI points based on their rankings in the four different cups in their region.

The top four teams are automatically qualified, the remaining four are selected based on their points.

The top six teams automatically earn their place in the Season Finals. The teams occupying 7th and 8th places are selected during a separate tournament in China.
