Shockspire is a node that is farmed using the Mining skill in New World, and gives off Air Motes and Shocking Lodestones.
A tall spire crackling with lightning, here's what you'll need and where the best areas are to find Shockspire in Aeternum.
What do you need Shockspire for in New World?
A special type of rock formation that gives off Air Reagents, the two primary drops will be Air Motes and Shocking Lodestones. Both are key Arcana ingredients.
Air Motes are used in a whole load of concoctions, including Mana, Encumbrance, Ward and Absorption potions, as well as coatings, tinctures, and the cutting of Topaz and Jasper gemstones. It is also a key resource in crafting the Elemental Heart, a mid-level reagent in ultimately creating Tuning Orbs and Voidbent Ingots.
Shocking Lodestones, meanwhile, are also used in several tinctures, potions, and coatings.
There's also a chance, providing you have Luck, in Shockspire dropping Thunderstones that add perks when crafting gear.
In order to mine Shockspire, you'll need a Mining Pickaxe. There's a level requirement of 50 to mine them, and you'll be able to track Shockspire nodes from Mining Skill Lv. 75.
The best locations to farm Shockspire in New World
These are the clusters we think are best for power-farming Shockspire.
Restless Shore
A great place to farm Shockspire, Restless Shore has two main clusters.
The first is the ridge surrounding Eridanus, and the second is focused on the ridge bordering Mourningdale, from Boarsholm to the coast.
Mourningdale
There are nodes all over Mourningdale, and collecting them all will take some time and travelling.
The northwestern area around Amphus is a good option for some quick farming, given its proximity to the Ram's Respite shrine.
Great Cleave
The best location for power-farming, if you have the levels to survive.
Fast travel into Tempest Valley Shrine and head south. The first cluster is very close to the shrine, with the other through the pass to the west, just before the entrance to the Stranglepitch Road.
Cutlass Keys
Not many nodes, but they are in a lower-level area. Start from the settlement and head south to Highpass Cavern. Collect the nodes there then follow the ridge southeast.
There are more nodes over the border in First Light, but you may need to cross the mountain range -- and that could be a hugely roundabout route.
Brightwood
The ridge east of the Alchemist's Shrine hosts a good few nodes. You can also cross the border into Weaver's Fen for the nodes around Ursus Hortus, too.
