In addition to clans, which can accommodate up to 100 players, Diablo Immortal also introduces a Warband system, a kind of smaller group of players. The purpose of this feature is to encourage you to play with other members of the troop in order to obtain bonuses or additional loot. The most notable example being the possibility of facing Lassal in Warband in order to obtain additional Infernal Slag, and to participate in the classification.
Create or join a Warband
This feature is unlocked quite early in the game, you just have to open the game menu at level 30 and click on the "War Troop" button on the right. Then all you have to do is join a troop by applying, or create one. You can also be invited directly by the troop leader. However, it should be noted that this feature is really of interest only if you are actually playing with the other players of the warband.
Unlock Warband Encampment
In order to have access to the majority of the features of the Warband, there is an objective to be validated: you must kill 10,000 monsters with members of the warband . It is common and shared between all the members of the troop. But you must be at least 2 Warband members in a group and nearby for this to count . So you have to go and do dungeons with your troop, for example.
The best solution is probably to farm monsters on the game map, this is by far the most profitable, at least to quickly validate this objective. Select an area full of monsters, and pulverize everything. The Realm of Damnation, Mount Zavain, the Sea of Shassar, and Frostfiend are some examples of high-density areas.
Once the camp is unlocked, speak to the Warband Quartermaster in Westmarch, he will offer to take you to the camp, which will give you access to its features and services.
Warband Camp Features
By talking to the Quartermaster, you can turn in Sealed Loot Chests found while playing Warband. The troop leader can also assign the roles of the different members. These are bonuses only active during Warband Assaults in the Infernal Reliquary. Don't count on it the rest of the time.
You can also access the Warband's shared loot chest to borrow legendaries that you have use of. This tab is filled with special chests that you discover while trooping.
Other functionalities are rather cosmetic or role play, such as the banner, the seats, or the photo of the whole troop.
Play with the Warband
Once in a troop, by clicking on the Wartroop button, you can view the activities of other members, the number of players in their party, and you can easily request an invitation from them. You can also post an activity to encourage others to join you.
