In this guide, we explain the near-limitless customisation options that are available in the Gunsmith on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, releasing on October 25th.
On Modern Warfare, it is possible to customise your weapons in accordance to your gameplay. Whether it's the barrel, under-barrel, sight or something else, there are a variety of attachments that players can choose to suit their style of play. The default classes offer a variety of attachments for a variety of play-styles known as "Assault, Ghost, Heavy, Support, Demolition and Sniper". Using the default classes are a good way of familiarising with the variety of ways to play Modern Warfare.
Each unique attachment is unlocked through levelling up the particular weapon. In order to unlock all the attachments, you'll have to persevere and keep using it until you have access to the desired attachments you want to use! The effectiveness of the weapon all depends on which attachments you select.
Primary Weapons
Gun barrel - Slight decrease in mobility and stealth but an increase in damage output.
Under-barrel - Lots of ways to reduce recoil levels.
Laser - Increase in accuracy when firing from the hip.
Perks - Depending on what attachments have been selected, choosing a perk that suits your style of play is the way to go.
Secondary Weapons
Gun barrel - Increase in power output.
Laser - Accuracy increase when firing from the hip.
Perks - Dependent on style of play.
It is also advisable to make sure that the attachments you have equipped to your weapon are as balanced as possible to get the maximum benefit from your weapon of choice.
