Death Stranding Guide: Tips on deliveries and the different types of orders,

In Death Stranding, there are good and bad deliverers: the good ones are those who prepare themselves properly and pay close attention to the type of order they have committed themselves to: merchandise, deadline, conditions, etc. In this short guide, we will look at what types of orders are available and what you can get out of them.

Orders for Sam

These are the main missions of the game and the objectives can vary completely. Since this guide is spoiler free, we will let you discover all this by yourself.

Death Stranding

Standard orders

Each standard order is associated with a type of likes on which you will be rewarded at the end of your delivery.

Timed order

Increases your delivery time likes.

You must bring this cargo back within the time limit. We highly recommend the use of a motorcycle for this type of delivery.

Heavy order

Increases your volume of delivery likes.

These are orders containing heavy or large numbers of items. We recommend the use of a cart, but also to travel light and on safe routes.

Recovery order

Increase various likes.

For this type of order, you will have to enter hostile territory to recover the correct cargo. These are high-risk missions, we recommend equipment with recovery and self-defense items.

Sensitive order

Increases your delivery status likes.

You will be evaluated on the condition of the cargo on arrival: be careful, these are often very fragile products, the use of an exoskeleton to improve your stability is strongly recommended.

Note: Several objectives can be mixed and it is possible to perform commands to recover sensitive items, for example.

Failures and repeated orders

What happens if you abandon an order or fail to complete it? The order will become unavailable for a dozen hours (IRL), before returning to the list of standard orders, with a label "repeated order", all you have to do is try it again.

Outpost: Rank improvement

Making successful deliveries for a particular outpost will allow you to maintain better relations with the NPC in charge of it. By increasing your number of stars, you will have access to new equipment and customization items. Reaching the maximum rank will give you a star to stick on your suit, but we don't know if it has any use for the moment.
